A wind turbine can provide much more electricity than several solar panels, especially when you need it most in autumn and winter. But it does not fit everywhere and there are a couple of things you should consider before acquiring a wind turbine. You should have steady wind where you place the turbine. Gusts and downdrafts will reduce the wind turbine's lifespan and create noise, while electricity production will be poor. The wind turbine should be placed as high as possible — the higher up you go, the stronger and more stable the wind. The wind turbine can be placed up to 50 m from the SoWin power station, but preferably as close as possible if you still achieve steady wind. (Important to know the distance before delivery so that the necessary cable is included.)
