The plug and play station that combines solar and wind energy with repurposed EV car batteries for power storage.

Our mission is to provide people with a reliable and safe way to generate and store essential electricity from free, clean energy sources in areas where power is scarce.

100 % clean energy

Our power stations are equipped with solar panels, and come with the option of mounting a wind turbine. Solar and wind are free energy sources that compliment each other perfectly when it comes to their up and down times.

Repurposed EV batteries

Using repurposed EV batteries, our power stations are equipped with storage options from 7 to 42 kWh, depending on your needs. We provide a 5 year warranty on batteries, but their lifespan is estimated to be up to 15+ years, around 4000 - 5000 life cycles.

Delivery

We deliver anywhere - a promise we must live up to, as our power stations are perfectly suited for off-grid use. At the moment we offer free delivery for a limited period (Save NOK 10,000). Delivery time is estimated at 3 weeks.

Zero risk for fatal fires

One of our main selling points is the value of putting a power station like ours on the ground outside the house/cottage, compared to mounting solar panels on the roof and installing equipment inside your home. Which comes with the possibility of fire and water damage with fatal and expensive consequences.

+ Do you deliver in all of Norway?

Yes, we deliver anywhere in Norway. Our power stations are perfectly suited for off-grid use.

+ Do you have to apply for permission to have a power station on your own land?

Building a Sowin unit on your own property is exempt from the application obligation according to the Planning and Building Act, provided that your unit is placed more than 1 meter from the neighboring boundary, your property is not unregulated or located in an LNFR area or in the beach zone. NB: all municipalities can make their own rules, so check with your local building authority.

+ How does shipping and delivery work?

Ordered goods are sent by carrier and shipping is not included in the price. Delivery time depends on the charterer and place of delivery, but we operate with a delivery time of between two to four weeks.

+ As a customer, do I have to be present when the power station arrives?

It is preferable for both parties. The customer should also provide an electrician if there is a need for the necessary connection inside the cabin or house.

+ What batteries does SoWin use?

SoWin Power uses recertified electric car batteries. These batteries go through a process after they are taken out of the electric car. This process allows the batteries to have a lifespan of up to 20 years, and approximately 4 to 5,000 life cycles. Each battery is 7 kWh. The maximum battery capacity in a power station today is 42 kWh.

+ How many kWh per day and per year does the station produce?

The standard power station is equipped with a solar panel that has an output of 410 Wp and normally produces around 340 kWh per year. On good sunny days, a panel can generate around 2 kWh. If you use the arms so that there are three panels, it will be about 6 kWh per day.

+ What is the maximum battery capacity that the cabinet can contain?

Today, it is possible to equip a power station with a battery capacity of 42 kWh.

+ What is the maximum distance between stand and cabinet?

The stands do not have to be in the immediate vicinity, but it is recommended as close as possible. 3 m length of cables is included as standard. There are relatively large currents in the cable, so long cables cause loss.

+ Will shading on one panel reduce performance on the others?

It depends on whether the panel is in parallel or in series. In series, it will normally prevent the entire production in the series. This can be partly prevented with diodes.

+ What kind of panel does SoWin supply?

Longi 410 Wp. Mono All black.

+ How do you return?

To return your product contact us by email or phone within 14 days after delivery. Customer will need to pay for transport but Sowin Power can arrange for pick-up and transportation.
